We find ourselves most often in a situation where we sit on the studio chair for hours and hours, almost forgetting to drink or to take a break. Are you familiar with this scenario? This post shows you the importance of why you should take a break more often than you think!

1. Your Ears

Your ears will fatigue and will not be able to listen accurately. They will loose the relation to the real sound. That’s the moment when you kept beating hours for hours and then listened the next day and wondered why you didn’t hear it sound this way. So give your music production pacing some space.

2. Your Back

You might think, I’m young and never had any troubles with my back. You sure can imagine that you have crafted music for thousands of hours and therefore have been sitting wrong or too long for the same amount of time. Better get up and do some stretching!

3. Free Your Mind

I’m not talking about killing your work flow. But when you nailed most parts and now need arrange or mix minor stuff then there is plenty of space for a break of a couple minutes. It will not only free your mind but also let’s you return in a fresh state of mind.

4. Water

You might think I’m kidding but truth is that time in the recording or home studio passes quickly and chances are good you forget to give your body the number one thing that it needs: Yep, water!

5. Reduce Stress, Perform better

All the tips about healthiness have one thing in common. They help you to perform better. Stress is slowing you down and a healthy mind and body does increase your effieciency as a musician, music producer or artist! No matter what.
