Launching Roqstar: Built to Help Creators Earn From Their Passion

Today we are launching Roqstar — and with it, a long-held belief that creatives deserve a better way to turn passion into income.

Building something that lets people monetize their creativeness and start earning from it was never just a product idea for us. It was a personal mission. We wanted a place where makers could put their work forward, own the relationship with their buyers, and get paid without fighting the platform for every sale.

That conviction goes back further than this launch. In 2011 we were already selling our own digital items — learning firsthand what it takes to package creative work, reach an audience, and actually get paid. Over the years we kept looking for a solution that felt right: something focused on the audio niche (sample packs, beats, presets, plugins, and the workflows producers actually need), yet not limited to it. We never quite found that home. So we built it.

What Roqstar is for

Roqstar is a white-label store platform for digital creators. You get your own branded storefront, sell your products directly, and keep control of how your work is presented and priced. Audio creators will feel at home — BPM, key, genre, and licensing are first-class — but writers, designers, educators, and other digital sellers are equally welcome.

Our mission is unchanged from day one: give creatives every practical tool to monetize their passion.

What about the old marketplace?

If you’ve been with us a while, you might notice the old open marketplace is gone — and that’s by design. The earlier model welcomed everyone, but much of the activity was free sharing and one-off uploads rather than sustained selling. That made it difficult to invest fully in the deeper tool suite serious sellers need to build and grow a business. At the same time, delivering many thousands of free downloads pushed infrastructure costs up in a way that wasn’t sustainable long-term. Closing that chapter lets us focus on what matters most: a white-label store platform built to empower creators who are in it to grow.
